A process for tangible design system contributions

Proposes a collaborative contribution model to help product teams scale design system capabilities.

This was my final Industry Research Project for the MA in Digital Management at Hyper Island, set at Adevinta after the eBay Classifieds merger, where I was running the Horizon Design System for Marktplaats and 2dehands. As adoption grew, the design system team became a bottleneck because there was no real way for other product teams to contribute. Walks through the Design Thinking process I used to map three new process diagrams, test them with designers and Design System specialists across three rounds of validation, and get them live in the documentation.
